After you've gotten over the shock of that figure, we have discovered a selection of brilliant pubs that sells pints for under £3:
1. Princess Louise, London
The Princess Louise in London gives off a 'Sherlock Holmes' vibe because of its retained original features. The traditional Victorian alehouse offers a mix of ales from the Sam Smith Brewery (Yorkshire) for under £3!
2. The Society Room, Glasgow
Granted, it's a JD Wetherspoons, but if you're content with the Curry Club, this is the place to be for a cheap pint. And if this particular JD Wetherspoons isn't your taste, there are four more within 0.3 miles, including the Counting House or last orders if you're heading back to homestead from Queen's Street station.
3. Sandbar, Manchester
This particular pub is sandwiched between two University buildings, so low prices and cheap pub grub is to be expected for the students. Although don't be fooled, that 'cheap pub grub' comes in the form of 12 - hour brisket, stone baked pizzas and pesto gnocchi; absolute perfection when teamed with one of the guest ales.
4. The Constant Service, Brighton
Brighton's lanes are a maze, so it's consequently easier to get lost in one of the pricier pubs. If you find the Constant Service, and are lucky enough to time it for their happy hour, you'll find some great deals in this homely English pub that does a fine line of hog roasts in summer.
5. The Jewel of the Severn, Shropshire
Locals love this cheap and cheerful pub, with it's almost nightly meal deals in the week. Fantastic for a pint and a bite to eat, especially with pints from £1.75.
6. The Beerhouse, Bury St Edmunds
The appearance of this pub seems to anything but common knowledge, but the prices in local taverns are still far cheaper than its neighbouring honey pot, Cambridge.
7. The Palace, Leeds
With Leeds being student central, meaning prices will be relatively low, The Palace in Kirkgate serves pints for a pound on the condition of you signing up the Hop Circle. It serves up traditional favourites as well as micro-brews and is home to a welcoming atmosphere.
8. The Centurion, Newcastle Upon Tyne
The ancient times of train travel being considered a luxury has long since been forgotten, but The Centurion most definitely hasn't. Situated within walking distance of central station, the former first class passenger lounge is a flagship pub for Black Sheep Bitter, even carrying a few guest ales from microbreweries.
9. CASC, Aberdeen
What does CASC stand for, you ask? Why, it's: Cigars, Ale, Scotch and Coffee! Naturally, this place has it in abundance. Their lengthy list of brews is up on chalkboards for you to scour, so to pick our your favourite lager, stout or cider from all over the world, each starting at £2.30.
10. Hope & Anchor, Tenby
Pembrokeshire is a picturesque part of the UK and the flocks of tourists that visit, go through the prices in local country pubs. However, Hope & Anchor have the knack of keeping their pub grub and beer simple and at a good value.
